Ask Skcript is an advice column for people to understand complex technology in a simple way from us. We try to keep the answer as simple as possible.
Q: What are Policy Services in Hyperledger Blockchain framework?
A: As you might already know, Hyperledger is a blockchain framework. A Policy Service is a component of Hyperledger architecture that talks directly to the Event Stream for end-user consumption.
The policy services is a function that enables you to configure and manage the system policies in Hyperledger framework.
When we talk about system policies, we are talking about things like consortium policies, authorization permission and user access control. This could also include how one could on-board and off-board users in and out of the system respectively.
This level of functionality for the Policy Service in Hyperledger stack makes its one of the most powerful and crucial component in the Hyperledger stack.
